Rahil Nora Chopra : As the Bihar Assembly election approaches, the political parties are getting busy forming the alliance with other partys. At one time, the main pillar of Dalit politics was Ram Vilas Paswan. In fact, two years back Paswan and Nitish Kumar were good friends. When Nitish left the alliance with RJD and joined hands with BJP to form the Bihar government, he inducted Paswan’s younger brother Pashupati Kumar Paras in his cabinet and made him MLC. However, when Chirag Paswan took over the command of LJP, he started criticizing Nitish Kumar and his government resulting in the relationship between Chirag and Nitish becoming sour. Nitish Kumar has made an alliance with Jitan Ram Manjhi in order to play the Maha Dalit card in the coming assembly elections. He has declared that LJP would have an alliance with BJP and BJP would accommodate LJP into their seats.
